Short Term Goals

So Much To Do So Little Time - or
What to do when you only see your client for a minimal amount of time.

The Summer is a time when, if you live in a holiday resort you may get the opportunity to see clients who are on vacation. Or it may be you live in an area that is popular all year round or a specific part of the year that attracts visitors. These clients are additional income, but you realise they are not long term because they return home after a holiday or seasonal break of some kind.

You may take the opinion that as they are not staying they are not worth your time or effort as they will be gone in a week or so, therefore are not valuable as a client. This is a somewhat negative attitude for what could be a quick boost to your income.

Consider that when people are on holiday they often try something different - they have the time to do what they may not be able to fit into their regular schedule.

You can offer a holiday programme for visitors either with a specific title - Stay In Shape On Your Holiday - something like that or just let them know that you are offering an introduction to something new or a continuation of what they already do at home so they don’t have to lose their regime whilst on their break.

This one off income could be a major boost to your turnover. Make sure that travel companies, hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation locally know what you are offering.

A simple flyer informing people of what you have available and where could be a welcome income generator. Present your information professionally, you can buy a neat container from a stationary store to hold your flyers, this way when you visit the Tourist Information Office, or local hotels or bed and breakfast facilities you can just place the information on the reception desk without a problem. Don’t forget local camping sites, restaurants and cycle rental shops as well you may even want to let the local golf course and surf shop know about your business enterprise.

Make the most of the Summer and the influx of visitors to increase your income. This is usually a slow time for fitness when clients take their Summer holiday - so turn it around with innovation and creativity.
